LONDRA: A TEATRO ALLO SHAKESPEARE'S GLOBE

Oggi vi voglio segnalare un'attrazione che, dopo il mio soggiorno a Londra, scambiando opinioni sui posti più belli da visitare, ho notato non è conosciuta come dovrebbe: lo Shakespeare's Globe.

Today I want to suggest an attraction that, after my stay in London, exchanging opinions on the most beautiful places to visit, I noticed it is not known as it should: the Shakespeare's Globe.

Si tratta di una ricostruzione minuziosa, situata sul medesimo suolo dell'originale, del teatro nel quale Shakespeare allestiva i suoi spettacoli(l'originale andò distrutto durante un grande incendio nel 1613).

I fortunati visitatori possono sia visitare il teatro in un interessantissimo tour guidato, sia assistere ai tanti spettacoli che vengono proposti giornalmente(chiaramente tutti dalla penna del grande drammaturgo e poeta inglese).

Il tour guidato costa 13 sterline(11 per gli studenti) ed è molto bello. Si comincia con un piccolo e curato museo, ospitato in alcuni ambienti interni del teatro, dove troverete copioni, oggetti di scena, costumi e altre fantastiche chicche sulla vita e l'opera del grande Bardo. Poi, accompagnati da coltissime guide(attori delle compagnie che qui si esibiscono), si visitano i vari livelli degli spalti del teatro e l'arena. 

It is a meticulous reconstruction, situated on the same ground of the original, of the theater where Shakespeare set up its shows (the original was destroyed by a big fire in 1613).

The lucky visitors can visit the theater in a very interesting guided tour, or attend the many shows that are offered daily (clearly all from the pen of the great English playwright and poet).

The guided tour costs 13 pounds (11 for students) and is very nice. It begins with a small museum, housed inside the theater, where you'll find scripts, costumes and other great goodies about the life and work of the great bard. Then, accompanied by highly cultured guides (actors of the companies that perform here), you can visit the various levels of the stands of the theater and the arena.

Il Globe Theatre, con la sua caratteristica forma rotonda, quasi tutto in legno, curato nei minimi particolari, è un monumento che non ha eguali, un pezzo unico di grande valore storico e artistico.

Inoltre, come vi dicevo, è anche possibile assistere agli spettacoli serali(per la programmazione consultate il calendario sul sito): i prezzi per i posti a sedere sono vari e per tutte le tasche, e ci sono, addirittura, dei posti alzati(proprio come succedeva nel vero teatro shakesperiano) messi in vendita a sole 5 sterline l'uno(affrettatevi ad acquistarli, però, che subito vanno a ruba!).

Insomma, sia di giorno che di sera, il Globe è una tappa a mio parere fondamentale durante la vostra visita di Londra, una perla antica e rara dal grande fascino!

The Globe Theatre, with its distinctive round shape, almost entirely of wood, is a monument that is unique, a unique piece of great historical and artistic value.

As I said, you can also watch the evening shows (for programming see the schedule on the site): the prices for seats are varied and for all budgets, and there are even standing positions(just as happened in the true Shakespearean theater) for only 5 pounds.

In short, both day and night, the Globe is an essential stage, in my opinion, during your visit to London, an ancient and rare pearl of great charm!
